am i allowed to use RPG sprites as other characters?

like...
can i have a custom character called say drunk pirate with the pirate graphic? or is thios copyright infringement and i have to make all my own?...

Every graphics in DROD are copyrighted. Except for AE graphics. Erik allowed us to use AE graphics without asking permission. To use other graphics(JtRH, TCB and RPG ones), you need to ask permission from Mike(mrimer).

IMPORTANT NOTE! If you've imported copyrighted graphics in the hold and even didn't use them, you need permission to save them imported in the hold anyway. Use F9 to delete custom imported copyrighted graphics.

And also post from eytanz(who's a hold admin and knows far more about copyright than me) that might be helpful for you.

oh and how do i change how many gracklles are needed to pass a greckle gate?

Yeah, you can if you don't inclue roach tiles as custom. So, you can keep them as default tiles and it won't break copyright.

In the editor, there's a little box above the room preview with a number in it. Remove the default "1" and replace with something else. Keep in mind that greckle gates on "1" cost 10 greckles, but a greckle gate on "2" costs 20 greckles, a grackle gate with the "3" setting costs 30 greckles and so on. Another thing though, power-ups are also affected. Either an ATK gem or DEF gem's power is increased by changing the number within the box. Gems on the level with the Box Number 1 will increase your respective ATK or DEF by one. If the number is not one, however, the number that is in the box (or the big yellow X* that appears on the left of the screen), will increase the amount of power you get by stepping on the gems.

The * means any yellow number that is to the right of the yellow X

Or, something you can do if you don't feel up to scripting is to use more than one door. Just make sure that you don't put too many in a row; if you have 5 or more in a row, the player can get away with paying less:
They open door 1. (10G) They stand on it and close it. (10G). They walk across doors 2, 3, and 4, pick up the item, and repeat the same process on the way back (20G).
They just paid 40G where they should've paid 50G.

So for a 150 greckle gate on a Level Multiplier 1 hold, make 4 groups of 3-4 gates.
