Personally I think that both these entry's were as good as each other, albeit in different ways. But, we've got to choose.

Right. So it appears that The Vats take second place. Congratulations. I was quite pleasantly surprised by this entry, especially when it sprung the trailer on me.
So that means that the final order is thus:

(1st)Elfstone, with her awkwardly romantic piece about treasure.
(2nd)techant, having given me the biggest laugh of any of the entries.
(3rd)nabla, with a very arty piece about private drama.
mxvladi, showing how computer game censorship isn't something restricted to earth.
zwetschenwasser, with his piece of social commentary, that, in true fashion, wasn't properly understood. ;) (I suppose he could have added some more clues that the slayer didn't move because he couldn't comprehend a builder rebelling.)
brian_s, with an interesting investigation into the evil eye.
And hyperme, telling the tale of a slayer tricked.

I'm also pleased to annouce that Elfstone is now free to choose a single drod graphic to be released. If you have trouble deciding, Dex Stewart will help you out.

and if anybody has a favourite one that they'd like to mod, now's the time to say so.

I would request that a third of my prize points be given to techant, as she put in much more work than I did, so it wouldn't be fair for me to split it 50-50.

sure. You should have asked during the contest and I would have stipulated that they should give their affirmative/negative while posting the item.

Thank you cappro for the prize points but I do think you did a great deal of work and the piece would not have been as well received as it was without you. :thumbsup

Many thanks NiroZ. I would be immensely chuffed to have won a first place in anything, but all the more so because it is Architecture.

Unfortunately, I haven't a clue what you mean by "choose a single drod graphic to be released" :? showing cringe-worthy ignorance here I know; sorry :~(

scampers off calling "Dex! Dex? where are you Dex??"

Ok, little technical here, but I'm sure you'll handle it. DROD is made up of lots of little pictures. For example, there is the picture of Beethro's face, the picture of beethro, beethro's sword, (in 8 directions) roaches and so forth. So it is your choice to choose one of these pictures for public release, so that people can edit it and use it how they wish.

Wait... you did get my reply, right? I mean, I'm more than glad to re-explain, maybe easier in case I wasn't clear the first time, but I wanted to make sure you got it.
