I rated the entries by their Visuals, Presentation/Polish (I failed to distinguish the two) and Entertainment - as NiroZ suggested - in the scale of 1 to 10, then divided by 3 and rounded. The scores were placed like so:
Endings or Beginnings - 19/3 =
6
Visuals - 8; I liked all the custom imagery, felt appropriate. Although the second room is a bit of a pain to the eyes.
Presentation/Polish - 6; Some typos here and there, didn't like the mapping of the rooms (they were adjacent, which was kind of sticking out) and lack of any entrances/exits. Custom music was appropriate, but Beethro cutting the mud was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too slow.
Entertainment - 5; Average on the dull side.
The Vats - 20/3 =
7
Visuals - 7; Surroundings are nice, the vats reminded me the evil eye a bit.
Presentation/Polish - 7; A few minor typos, no events during the trailer (those who had seen it most likely were bored). Great concept though.
Entertainment - 6; This was the last submission I have seen, which is why I ran out of comments.
Good Times Good Times - 29/3 =
10
Visuals - 10; It has flickering lights! OMG!!!1 *ahem* The layout contributed the most to this score (and not the lights!).
Presentation/Polish - 9-; This is the first instance where someone is trying to show complex relations in DROD (to me at least), which was something new. The concept is original as well. I didn't like multiplication of the story into four sections (making it impossible to follow the conversation), but this score is high because of the first impression and I already voted.
Entertainment - 10; Time machine FTW.
Evil Eye Safari - 16/3 =
5
Visuals - 7; Surroundings are bit boring, but I can't complain otherwise.
Presentation/Polish - 5; The length is too small. The first part was presented like a documentary. This submission would be good as a documentary, but the third room didn't made any sense in this context and then came the abrupt end.
Entertainment - 4; Too short, too abruptly ended.
A Builder's Life - 8/3 =
3
Visuals - 4; Bleak surroundings and empty rooms. At least there were more than one floor styles.
Presentation/Polish - 3; Why the slayer couldn't move anymore? And why 70% of the time the free-thinking builder was running around building? And was there anyone but you who understood the (non-existant) ending? This may be harsh, but that's how I feel about it.
Entertainment - 1; BOOOOOOORIIIIIING.
Tales of a Slayer - 16/3 =
5
Visuals - 7; Kind of blank, but the dungeons were appropriate. Plus, you try to achieve at least some geographical accuracy, which was nice.
Presentation/Polish - 5; Typos and syntactical errors aside, the pace was too slow. At least the slayer was talking. Plus, the "
Exit level"
sign was out of place.
Entertainment - 4; 6th submission to watch, 6th submission to comment. *blank*
Golems play wubbaball - 23/3 =
8
Visuals - 9; Nothing wrong or out of place, and the lightning was good.
Presentation/Polish - 8; Golemtalk was good (I'm repetitive and unoriginal, I know), so was the story. On the negative side of things, the sleeping golem was unnecessary. Also, "
YAY!"
??
Entertainment - 7; I rather enjoyed watching this one.
EDIT: After reviewing "
Good times good times"
entry again and reconsidering things, I have decided that I should have given this entry 10/7/6=8 rating. I am sorry for voting based on my first impression and being unfair to others. It will not happen again
