I realize the map has most likely not changed much over the years...However, I'd find using it much easier if there were a couple of things added:
The first one is to have a very faint grid overlaying the entire visible area in order to better identify the exact borders of each individual room.
Secondly, there doesn't seem to be any way of knowing exactly where you are in the map after you've clicked on a different location (other than the room you're currently in, of course) and then inadvertently moved the cursor. (Well, you can read where you are, but that's not altogether helpful.)
I hope this makes sense.:unsure

Edit: I'm aware that it's not at all impossible to recognize the room your backtracking to on that little map, but I'm still of the opinion that some sort of vaguely highlighted grid would be valuable. :)

This makes a lot of sense to me - multiroom puzzles were rare in DROD so this didn't matter, but they're common enough in DROD RPG for this to be worth doing.

Getting back to some old feature requests.

There are multiple ways this could be done.

I'm thinking having a grid behind the rooms, rather than drawn on top of the rooms, looks better, but maybe that's not what is being asked for. But let's start there. How does this look?

Can confirm this is working in 1.3.0.368. Couldn't spot any issues with it.

I agree that having the grid not draw on top of rooms is better, but it does mean that if the rooms on the map make a perfect rectangle, you'll never see the grid. But I think that's fine.
