There is a problem with some room images when inserted as a link, (this one for example).

Under mozilla firefox, it shows up as gibberish. I assume it is because send the image as text/plain when the mimetype should be ... whatever it is for png.

Actually, it sends the image as text/html when it should be image/png (thanks Page Info in firefox).

It actually seems to be a caching issue but I don't know if it is on the server or client side. The first time i look at an image as link, it works fine. If i click on it again it shows up at gibberish.

I cleared my browser cache and it didn't solve the problem.

This has actually been brought up before, but it's very good that you found that odd behaviour with specific rooms. Is it possible the script isn't sending the right (any?) MIME type?

Oops, I edited my post while you replied.

It's not to do with specific rooms but with reloading an image.

I think the problem might be on the server side, as it did it for a link I had never looked at (in the loony labyrinth thread)

It was a server-side caching problem. I cache the images so the server doesn't have to do as much work. Thus, if showroom.php finds a cached version of the pic, it just sends it, but it was forgetting to add a Content-Type header. I've added it in, and it works in firefox for me now.
