I'm all out of blue keys by the time I enter into this room. Did I "waste" a blue key unnecessarily along the way?

Considering that I didn't have the same problem, I'd hazard a yes. But note that you don't have to get past that blue door.

I haven't gotten to this point yet, but I thought I'd point out that the anti-goblin weapon just makes you do double damage. Then again, that might be entirely necessary.

I've played through the first 4 levels a couple of times from scratch, and didn't see anywhere you could possibly waste a key. Though I may be wrong. Are you sure you've visited everywhere?

Yeah, you need that blue key, but there's nowhere else you could waste that blue key as far as I know like I said..

I'm still trying to work out how to actually see the initial state of rooms to find where the blue key was now, I've uploaded my process etc etc but can't seem forum rooms yet..

Well, the only thing you can do is restore to one of the saves and see if you are nearby.

Thanks so much for all the kind replies. It appears that the majority of the hints and solutions for DROD RPG might prove to be just a tad more complex than those offered in any of the previous DROD games.

Anyway, I do see one blue key...

Now the only problem I'm having in this room is that I don't seem to have enough hit points in order to defeat the goblin king...

It also seems that I've now exhausted the entire supply of health potions. Does this mean that I'll be forced to restore to an earlier save?

Did you have that to kill all the goblins? It makes a big difference in health. In general only kill what you have to in order to advance, you can clear out stuff later.

Several goblins remain in the level. However, I'm thinking that I must have killed a few monsters unnecessarily somewhere along the way. (I'll probably start all over again.)

Yeah, the only thing that's kind of a drawback to RPG is that we don't have that handy playback feature to see what we did before. In fact we can't even really look at the map of places we've already been.

The good news is that this level isn't bad for restarting. I'm totally stuck on Rule 6 at the moment.

Why does DROD rule my life?

DROD is pretty damn cool.
Anyway, I started a new game from scratch and was able to finally finish the demo (thanks in part to you guys). I'm planning on purchasing all the DROD games when a little more money comes trickling in.
