If you are moving on the platform normally it checks to see if you can move the platform before checking the ability to jump to the target square. However, when there is an orthosquare in the target jumping location (That would prevent you from jumping) you are not able to move you platform there.

Getting even weirder. Actually this is not the case. It doesn't matter if you are facing the ortho square or even if you have the grapple hook. You are not able to move diagonally into the square diagonal from an ortho square on a platform.

(In this case you can't move diagonally down)
