Caravel is now taking pre-orders for the shiny, new Deluxe Boxed Set edition of DROD: The City Beneath. It contains the game on CD along with unique bonus content, including a physical poster map of Dugandy and more on the disc. For those that pre-order, shipping will be folded into the purchase price. That is, you will get shipping for free when you pre-order! Orders will be mailed out as soon as CDs are available (4-8 weeks from now).

No. When someone orders a game, an e-mail is sent to them with a link to register the game on their forum user account. Once they have done that, it enables forum admins to verify that user has purchased the game.

Oh, right. Slight problem then - I purchased TCB before I had my forum account, and none of the emails from Caravel were kept. So does that just mean I won't get a discount?

Send any info you DO have (Plimus receipt number, or at least the email address you ordered the game from) to the support email, and they can get you your 1-month of free CaravelNet, which will also associate your account with your purchase.

Mike I went to the plimus page linked, to order my boxed set, but it was not clear on that page if the boxed set works on all platforms (Mac OS X in my case). The drop down mentions Windows, Linux and OS X separately from the boxed set (and at a different price). Does the boxed set work on Mac?

The box set also includes a download of the game, so even if it didn't work out-of-the-box you could always download the Mac client.

Actually, I'd guess most of the people ordering the boxed set already had TCB in the first place...
