I thought I'd show you guys what I've been working on for the Master Map. First here's a medium-sized image that shows continents and major water bodies.

Here is a much larger image that shows names for more places. Still missing are cities, lakes, rivers, islands, holds, and other landmarks that can't really fit on the map with legible text.

Finally, here is an example of what the map looks like when I zoom in to an area. Still looks pretty decent, because the original image I am working with is fracking monstrous. (3600 x 5500!) My paint program can barely handle it and crashes if I try to do something tricky. When I make the wall poster, I'll be using the full unscaled image which leaves plenty of room for detailed text and should output with beautiful quality on CafePress's equipment. There will be hundreds of town names and other info on the map.

This makes it all worthwhile. I especially like how you've plundered ideas on each of the maps more or less equally, so we all have an opportunity to sit around and go, 'wow, we're helping!'

Thanks, Red. More of your names will show up in detailed views, since your map tended to focus on names of holds and smaller bodies of water. Favorite name from your map was "Katonkarkan", which will probably end up somewhere on "Clarbag".

This is REALLY cool, and I hope that DROD will eventually grow to visit(or at least mention) all the places on this map; although I suspect that'll take a while.

Clarbag reminds me of a term from Teen Titans called "Clorbag Varblernelk." It's a term Starfire uses to describe people who don't think before having fun.
