Is it possible to write an intro text sequence for a hold? I want to start my story with a little prologue.

Also, how do cutscenes work? Can I make a cutscene with a text box in it, and the player presses a key to continue?

When you've created the first level, click on it, and click 'Describe'. It'll let you write the first text you see when starting the hold.

I'm not good at cutscenes, I'll let someone else answer that for you.

That's strange - I've just bought the full version for Windows and activated the CaravelNet extension, but in the Downloads section here I only have access to the Windows version, not the Mac version. Is this just a temporary thing, or am I going to have to buy the Linux version separately when it comes out?

Linux version is not ready yet, but it should be soon. I don't know about the Mac one.

Uh, okay... I don't know how they work in TCB as I never scripted anything in that, but, can anyone point me to some sort of tutorial on cutscenes? I want to display a text box and wait for the player to press a key to continue. Is this possible?

Heh.

While I'm not far enough in to have needed to use it in particular - it works exactly like a roach in normal DROD.

Tendry drops it where he stands, and when he moves it'll beeline towards (but not under) him, but he can keep it away with his sword or other obstacles (walls etc.).

Dunno if there's any extra tricks it can do... besides NOT killing you and triggering pressure plates.

You can get the demo version for Mac OS X or buy the full version by following links from here. There's a pull-down menu on the Plimus order page that lets you select the Mac version instead of the Windows version.

I bought the game yesterday. There appears to be a new patch today. I can't go click to get it like I can with TCB patches because the Mac version doesn't show up on the Downloads page at all.

Yes, the game currently supports uploading high score information via CaravelNet. Schik is working on the high-score table display on the forum, and it should be available soon. In a future patch, we'd like to make local and world high score listings viewable in-game too.

If you don't squish the roaches on the title screen, do they grow? Some of those roaches are HUGE!
