An alternative name would be Clockwork Mimic.
Here's what I think.
This little thing starts as a potion. When you grab it, it's placed like a mimic, but with one(possible) difference: you might be able to rotate it.
It can only travel on non-diagonals, so it's a little like a serpent.
It moves one square in the direction it's moving per turn, and turns only when it hits a wall. It always turns RIGHT(unless turning right would make it face into a wall, then it turns left, unless that would make it face into a wall, then it turns around 180 degrees), and can drop trapdoors and toggle orbs. It walks on force arrows(but obeys them), and I'll let the dev team decide if they want it to walk over potions. It can't harm or be harmed by monsters.
Many a puzzle could center around placing a Chuchu in the right spot in a closed-off area, possibly having it drop trap doors and having the player hit the right orbs at the right time for it to keep going.
