I have finished level 1 and 4 rooms of level 2 but I not sure how to approach this room.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried many techniques to delay the builder without success. Could you be more specific. I'm still not getting the idea.

A feature of Kolby's behavior that you may have previously noticed is that Kolby's sword blocks monster movement. The simplest demonstration of this is when you are facing the monster, it comes towards you (you get your sword), and you step away -- your sword prevents the monster from following you immediately. This can be repeated several times, and a similar method going around a corner.

As the builder's path lengthens, you need to delay the roach more and more.

Thanks for the response. I am familiar with that concept and have used it throughout the hold. However, I just don't see how that movement stops the builders movement. I am obviously dense but for some reason can't see the obvious. I thought I was doing well in this hold until this room. I guess what I am asking is how does this block the builders movement.

The builder can't move through a sword. When you stick your sword into the path that the builder has to follow, it breaks the path and the builder will turn around and head back to the...thingy.

I was able to get the builder to back up twice which wasn't enough to keep the fuse intact. I appreciate your thoughtful help but have decided to delete this hold. I am frustrated and annoyed with this room. As fun as this hold was, spending two days on this kind of task has ended by interest.
