Just wondering if it's normal. I am running DROD on a 24" iMAc 2.4gHz Intel processor, 4GB SDRAM

Nothing else is slow!

Does turning off CaravelNet for a session make it go away? If the CaravelNet server is being sluggish, DROD seems to freeze whenever you clear a room and it tries to upload the score.

Yes. Preset to self when separation from wife left me computerless. V. happy so far, but still no idea how to do a damned thing on it.

Don't worry, you'll learn fast. Macs aren't hard.

I tend to have slowdown/lag issues on DROD sometimes, myself, on my MacBook Pro, but I usually chalk that up to only having 512MB RAM. They usually happen at room end, though I had *lots* of slowdown when playing the hold 'Fireballs' last night.

I can't say I've ever had a case where it's totally frozen up and had to be ForceQuitted, except if I leave the program open when I put the computer into sleep mode. It doesn't seem to like that, some of the time.

Is DROD for Mac Universal? That is, can it run on an Intel Mac without Rosetta?

I have a non-Intel eMac and DROD's fine on it.

DROD's not universal. I recall running into a guy who said that he might be able to help us out with that, it's purely a lack of expertise on our end that's preventing a universal Mac build.

gcc/g++ and our own makefile and config script.
