The game says that you can clear all the enemies in the room without ever swinging your sword... but I don't see how! Can anyone enlighten me?

I figure that you have to go along the bottom, to the right, and then north, and when you reach the top you can kill everything in the middle easily.

But, I always get stuck at the very bottom-right corner... there's always about three enemies that either come from above me (which means I die, as my sword points downwards), or if I try to go around the little pathway next to them, they kill me from the right-hand-side instead...

(btw, I know there's like 3982 topics existing already for this room, but none of them cover the 'no sword swinging' part, they're all only for how to reach the enemies...)

Supposing, roaches were coming from your side one at a time. Could you kill them without swinging your sword? I think you know this technique, lest you probably wouldn't make it to the SE corner.If you know how to kill enemies approaching you from the sides, you only need to find how to make a roach coming from north change its direction.

P.S. I see no problem posting a new question to any existing thread... Each thread here is about a room, not about a specific problem.

Ah, thankyou! I still get confused with diagonal sword movements for some reason... but I think I've got it now.

Hey, no worries there...

Yes, it's encouraged to keep discussion of one room in one topic, but in your case I'm pretty sure it warrants it's own topic since it's about solving the room in probably the hardest way possible, which might not exactly be what people that are having basic problems with getting through this room are after...

A small improvement I'd suggest though would be appending something like "without swinging your sword" to the subject of your first post - that'll make the intention of this thread stand out on the "Get help with a room" results page.
