It is indeed impossible to include the 'Neather in a user-made hold. It is possible to remove him from an editable version of Dugan's, though.

You can copy him over, but there's no scripting, so it just stays there as an error and does nothing.

It would still be good to just have him, even if he just stands there.

I mean, killing the 'Neather in Dugan's is the pinnacle of smitemastering prowess.

Really? How does one include the 'Neather? Do I have to use that patch that was posted? If so, where do I find the source code? A compiler?

On the rest: Ok, so wraithwings go up, serpents and goblins get their own levels, and I'll make the non-hostile elements of drod the third level. Thank you for the feed-back!

You can't include the 'Neather. It's not worth asking about. It is exclusive to Dugan's Dungeon and should and will be kept that way.

Game on,

So I downloaded the hold at the top of the thread, and here are my discoveries:

Level 1, first room with battalions: You say 4, but there are 3

Level 1, exit: it's possible to leave without killing all the roaches

Level 2, once east: Scroll says "Now that hard now was it?"

Level 3, entrance: I think "but they can see over pits" is better, since they can't see through doors or pillars.

Level 4 stairs go to level 7

Level 5, entrance: Scroll says: "If you see an "empty" spot behind a door in a level like this where logic dictates that in order for the room to be more difficult, odds are that spot is full of spiders." You probably meant to say something like: "If you see an "empty" spot behind a door in a level with this floor, odds are it that spot's filled with spiders."

Level 5, once east: how about a shorter snake?

Level 6, once east: scroll says "it'll move exactly like Beethro, except it won't if there's a wall in the way." How about "it'll move exactly like beethro, unless some obstacle prevents it from doing so."

Level 7, exit: no blue door is present

Level 7, exit: scroll says "That was an easy one, but you did well for your first time!" Shouldn't it say "That wasn't an easy one"?

It's worth emphasizing that you MUST step off the trapdoor for it to fall.

I know that the hold has changed since you posted that, so some of this may be out of date, but hopefully it will help you.

Oh, and you don't need the invisibility potion to run rampant in that room off to the side of level 6.

No, there are 4. The lower-right-hand-one is fairly large, but I consider it a battalion nonetheless.

Level 1, exit: it's possible to leave without killing all the roaches
I know, I don't think it's a major thing. If players want to skip ahead that's fine by me.

Level 2, once east: Scroll says "Now that hard now was it?"
That's odd... for me it says "not that hard now was it?"

Level 3, entrance: I think "but they can see over pits" is better, since they can't see through doors or pillars.
Sorry. Fixed it.

Level 4 stairs go to level 7
Fixed it.

Darn ADD. Rewrote level entirely.

Level 5, once east: how about a shorter snake?
New serpent level, shouldn't be too hard.

Level 6, once east: scroll says "it'll move exactly like Beethro, except it won't if there's a wall in the way." How about "it'll move exactly like beethro, unless some obstacle prevents it from doing so."
New non-hostile stuff level, reworded your suggestion.

Level 7, exit: no blue door is present
I don't care if people skip, that's their problem.

Level 7, exit: scroll says "That was an easy one, but you did well for your first time!" Shouldn't it say "That wasn't an easy one"?
Rewrote level.

It's worth emphasizing that you MUST step off the trapdoor for it to fall.
Did. Thanks.

Should I submit this to the "Holds" forum? It seems to be done.

If you think it's ready. I haven't been able to play the latest version, but perhaps could you include a "final" level at the end?

What do you mean? Sort of like a review of all elements? I did that and I even have a gate puzzle. Besides that I'm clueless as to what you mean. Or do you mean a level of a dungeon, like in Drod Tutorials?

Sort of like a final review. I haven't been able to finish your latest version, so sorry if you already have it.
