When i run up DROD, then play that, computer shuts down interrupting gaming. Does this program contain virus?

I delete it when problem is solved.

I really doubt it.

Usually, when your computer just "shuts down" while playing a game it's either some driver malfunctioning or the CPU or graphics card getting too hot.

Try cleaning out your machine, especially the fans (you wouldn't believe how fast dust clogs everything) and/or update those ancient (i.e. 2004) audio and graphics card drivers and see if it helps.
