Ok, a few more games:
- First, one of the masterpieces of internet puzzles has not been mentioned yet -
Planeterium. If you haven't played it yet, you should - though be warned that because of the fact that it only send you one puzzle a week for 13 weeks it requires some commitment. But solving it was one of the most rewarding feelings I ever got from a game.
- Second, as for
System's Twilight, I found it became more fun as I went along and understand more of what's going on, but it's not as good as the Cliff Johnson games - it's difficulty level is too high and I needed a lot of hints, and the overall polish is lacking a bit.
- Third, as for Cliff Johnson games: I went to his website and discovered that all three games mentioned above are now available for free download, with windows versions (or, more accurately, a bundled emulator) - so no need to worry about emulators. Following this link:
Fool's Errand site.
- Fourth, there's a game called "
Are we there yet?"
which I originally thought was a Cliff Johnson game but it seems was just a game released by the same developers using the Fool's Errand engine - it's not quite as brilliant, but it's still very good. Here's a link to the underdog's entry (their search engine doesn't seem to find it):
