Alright, vote it up, people!
I briefly considered a rating poll, since it tends to fix unfairness created by vote splits. But I worry about people taking a low rating personally. I.e. if a candidate really had his heart in this and came back with a 3 rating, that's kinda rough. We have ratings for creative works and contests, but rating a person can hit harder. So for now, I'm sticking with a simple popular vote, despite its tendency to inaccurately reflect people's wishes.
