Yep, It's me again. The guy who is attempting to break down every "
DROD is not"
barrier. The guy who is attempting to assimilate all games into the Mothingness. The guy who thinks such activities would be perfect for one of the DoOD positions. *Hint* *Hint* This time, it's Chip's Challenge.
"
But what about the realtime?"
I hear you ask. Well, the thing is, I'm emulating MS chip, not Lynx chip. Therefore, it is tick-based, and therefore, it can be made turn-based, albeit with some of the challenge taken out.
"
OMGWTFBBQ!"
I hear you shout. Yes, that is true. In fact, it's the name of the hub. (until further notice)
"
But x element won't work! I've tried and tried and tried!"
I hear you complain. Pfft. You think that's gonna stop me? If it doesn't work, I'll make it work!
Trick #1: Use an NPC for the player.
Trick #2: Use build markers for visible, walk-on-able, easily changeable elements. (The easily-changeable is what rules out just putting builders in there)
Trick #3: If you run out of graphics, use image floors!
Trick #4: To distinguish between the Player and a Monster, or between different types of Monsters, use Self.
Trick #5 (Pertains to the constuction of clone machines): ???
Alright, so far I have:
Moving Player
--Complete
Goal
--Complete
Chips

Chip Socket
--Imperfect
Bomb
--Death on step
