A hint, huh? One of them was a TV show I never saw, one was terrible, and one featured some rather over-the-top acting from a certain Scottish actor.

Delroy Lindo was apparently one of the angels in 'A Life Less Ordinary', (which had Ewan McGregor in it although I haven't seen it so I can't say if his acting was over the top) and imdb says Agent in one or two of his characters, so I'll say him.

The only other duo of angels that I know of is in Dogma. :/

Yeah, I thought of them, enough so that I spent a little time trying to figure out whether the title character in Gigli is a gang leader in Oakland. (Nope, he's a low-level hitman.)

I wouldn't call the angel duo in Dogma "inept", either.

Not with that nun-convincing-with-The Walrus and The Carpenter sequence :)

Delroy Lindo is indeed the answer. I never saw Agent, he was great in A Life Less Ordinary (one of those feel-a-bit-guilty-for-liking-it-as-much-as-you-do films for me)and played the gang leader in Romeo Must Die, which was pretty awful. It also featured Alliyah as the love interest.

Gah, no mod points. I owe you!

Okay, here's a long shot guess, because I don't know much about the rest of her career, but, if I remember correctly, Maggie Baird played Catwoman in the first episode of Birds of Prey.

That's easy. It's Alan Rickman.

1- Nottingham from Robin Hood
2- Hans Gruber from Die Hard
3- Marvin from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I love him as an actor.

Garlonuss is, of course, correct. I love Alan Rickman too. He couldn't save the film Robin Hood, but he certainly made it worth the pain.

Okay, I don't expect this one to last particularly long, but who knows.

1- A real-estate tycoon wannabe with alot off the top
2- An alien/madman
3- An ant bully

Yup. I was right that it wouldn't last long. And yes, you were right about K-PAX. The reason I said "alien/madman" was that that was the exact question that was addressed by Jeff Bridges' character: whether Prote was an alien or a crazy human.

Okay, I think I have it.

Julia Sawalha:

1- Saffron on Absolutely Fabulous
2- Lydia on Pride and Prejudice
3- Lynda Day on Press Gang

Lydia was absolutely the first character to come to mind when I thought of "foolish daughter"s. I had to look up the others, since I haven't seen them. (Though I have heard of Absolutely Fabulous and was vaguely aware that she was on it.)

I really should have got that from AbFab. I used to have a bit of a crush on Saffron.

Also, Batman Forever? Eurgh!

Hmm, and Noma was probably thinking of The End of the Affair for #2, which more explicitly has him in the role of an author.
