I'm thinking of someone with a hot temper, an unusual memory condition, a Swedish accent, and an intuitive sense of poetry. Though in different roles :)

Sorry, not it.
Those were four roles. Three were starring, one was a cameo.

'An usual memory condition'? I'm guessing you mean 'unusual'.

I'm guessing Jim Carrey based on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (where he does have a very unusual memory condition) and A Series of Unfortunate Events (Count Olaf is supposed to be Swedish, I think). No idea about the others though... possibly the Grinch for the first one?

no, not Jim Carrey.
the second and fourth movies are romantic comedies, perhaps the wrong genre for the people playing here?

Drew Barrymore?

Hot Temper: The other Charlie's Angels film?
Swedish Accent: one of the Charlie's Angels films
Memory Condition: 50 First Dates
Intuitive sense of poetry: Music and Lyrics

it is Drew Barrymore, and the Swedish accent is from a cameo in Wayne's World 2... but, c'mon. you totally missed the "hot temper" movie and you really, really should not have!

anyway, your turn

So that one must be Firestarter, right?

Ok:

1. An heir-not-so-apparent
2. An exiled nephew
3. An assassin who misses his mark

Well, the only exiled nephew I can think of is Eomer (Karl Urban), and I bet Urban played an assassin who fails to kill Bourne in The Bourne Supremacy. And, er, he's an heir not so apparent in, um, the other Lord of the Rings movie that wasn't used for the exiled nephew above.

I don't suppose that's Branagh in Macbeth, Hamlet, and (mumble)?

Hamlet because briefly in the middle of the play he's exiled to England, though he's also supposed to have a short stay. then again, perhaps exiled is the wrong word there. and besides, from "Macbeth, Hamlet, and (mumble)" we could as easily be describing Olivier or probably other actors. So I'm probably wrong.

Yes, Karl Urban is who I had in mind. The heir-not-so-apparent is The Chronicals of Riddik

Probably easy with all the descriptiveness:

1. An MIT grad trying to break into show business
2. A left-wing talk radio host
3. A reality TV star with an unusual talent

Ooop! So much for "easy".

1. An MIT grad trying to break into a rather particular theatrical show
2. A left-wing talk radio host who trades barbs with a right-wing TV host
3. A person with an unusual talent that regularly lands him on reality TV shows
