Here is a thread in which people can paste bug-fixes to bugs they've encountered without needing to make a thread informing people that they've found the bug and then gone ahead to fix it.

Bug fixes should ideally be posted in patch format (created with the "diff" program). If you don't have diff, you can download diffutils from GnuWin32 here. Note that this does not come with the patch program to apply the files!

For consistency, patches should be made by copying the directory structure, making the required changes, and running "diff -ur beforeDirectory afterDirectory >patchName.patch" Run through the patch file to make sure everything looks good, and then you can attach it here. Make sure to describe the bug that you're fixing! Also, please test your patches before posting them!

EDIT: Since the DROD source code is licensed under the Mozilla Public License, all patches in this thread, unless otherwise noted, will be licensed under those terms.

Cool! I'm happy to put in any and all bug fixes people implement, but when doing so, I'd like to have instructions for reproducing the bug so I can see how the game works before and after applying the patch. Would you please give me specifics on reproducing this problem?

Sure! When you're assigning door controls (from a door, not from an orb or pressure plate) and you click on a door that does not currently have any orb associations, then the tooltip saying "Open" or "Closed" or "Toggle" remains visible.
