Release version.
Apologies for this. I just haven't been paying much attention to beta testing recently, though I should have caught this one when testing changing of refresh rates me>

If the screen resolution is changed while DROD is running, the screen stops updating. I found this when changing from 1600x1200 to 1280x960. DROD had not 'crashed', and could be quit by ESC-ESC-ESC. No data loss on restarting, but perhaps there might be if CTRL+ALT+DEL were used to kill the task...
Full? functionality can be restored by switching to full screen, and back to windowed mode.
As a second test, I fixed the screen update as above, and then changed from 1280x960 to 1152x864 on the still running task. This time, DROD did crash, the task still running but unresponsive. All window borders & title had disappeared. I chose 'End Now' and started up again, with no apparent data loss*. Upon repeating this test, I did not see the bug, so it's intermittent
Hopefully unlikely to happen though, if DROD dealt with changes in screen resolution gracefully in the first place...
GFX card is Geforce3 Ti200. Drivers are v45.23
* Has the .dat backup feature been removed - I didn't see any additional files in the data folder? It may still have uses for other than DROD bugs... e.g. unfortunately timed powerouts.
