For what it's worth, CTRL+F5 ought to bypass any cache when refreshing the page. I'd assume any download links would also be "reset". Not 100% though but it's a shortcut I use often and have never had a similar issue (the shortcut works in FF as well as IE though I use FF).

Okay, I got this to build using Silver's instructions. Yay!

A couple of notes people might find helpful:

The Platform SDK is now replaced by the Windows SDK. I have the latter, and I can say it works perfectly fine.

I build this using Visual Studio 2008 Pro, so it's a green flag for 2008!
