It seems that some people are interpreting the difficulty scale as an absolute scale, where 0,5 means very easy and 10 very hard. Those people aren't really aware that the scale is actually relative to KDD.

I also voted KDD as 6, just because I think it's harder than some 5-rated usermade holds.

This is how I decided to rate KDD 6 rather than the standard 5. I was comparing it to how I see todays holds rated. If I was to re-rate the holds based on KDD at 5 I would choose

KDD - 5
JTRH - 7
TCB - 4

The Oremite Breeding Grounds were tricky, but part of that was getting used to rooms with no swords. I don't think there is anything in TCB as hard as this room from JTRH. Or the three tar mother room in KDD.

So is anyone going to do a "Fun rating" poll for the games and start another debate?

Horror rooms are rooms in which it is difficult to find the solution and even harder to do that solution. I usually prefer rooms where finding the solution is the most difficult part.

I agree totally. In any case, I'm in awe of people who found TCB easier - the gel, arrow tokens (as you mention), multiple fegundo and unpredictable stalwart AI made this official release the hardest thus far for me (followed by JtRH and then KDD).

Guess it's all down to playing style though - I'm judging from an optimiser's POV.

if you think that Hack And Slash rooms are difficult and horror, you're having a great mistake. Hack And Slash rooms are boring, tedious and easy. So, if you think they're difficult, I advise you to change your mind.
Well, they difficult because they wear your mind out and you have to stand your mind up against the boredom, but yes, I do agree with mxvladi, hack and slash rooms have no real puzzle to them.
