icon (TCB) Young Halph dieing sound (+1)  
Steps :

1) Create an NPC.
2) Set the graphic to Young Halph.
3) Set him visible.
4) Start the game.
5) Stab it with the sword or kill it in other ways.


Conclusion :

The dieing sound of the Young Halph character is the same as Halph character.

Yep, I'm getting the same thing with those steps. It may be possible to work around this for now by using "Turn into monster" to correct the sound if the Halph doesn't need to execute any scripted actions.

(note: I deleted my first reply because I failed to reproduce this at first because of not following the steps exactly, leading into a misunderstanding)

Well, I'm using some Move To scripts but I also tried without scripts.

another thing, in JtRH, when you bumb Halph to let him follow you, there was no bump sound. In TCB, if you bumb into Halph to let him follow you, you hear a bumb sound. (it works on both young and old Halph)

This could be a compatibility issue for rooms containing both Halph and a "Wait for event Player bumps obstacle" script command. Not that I know of any such rooms.

I've fixed this for 3.0.2 so bumping into Halph no longer fires a "bump" event/sound.
