Nice, I like it!

Minor cosmetic suggestion:
You could use doors as 'elevators' to visualize the transition from floor to wall and vice versa:

Initially, all doors are open (doors are at the positions where the wubbas are now).
Beethro steps onto door -> doors close ('elevator up') -> Beethro turns into seep.
Seep steps onto doors -> doors open ('elevator down') -> seep turns into Beethro.
