I don't really mind the arrow rotator, although I'll second the request to make it a little larger. I guess they look a little flat (they're not shaded), and the colors aren't used anywhere else (of course that may be the lack of shading since yellow green and red are all used in other places).

Hot plates rules! Oh, and being able to see monster order rules as well. The last element of randomness is now removed :)

It would have been sweet to be able to click doors to see which orbs that affects them, but you can't get everything I guess.

I haven't gotten too far yet, but I love most of the new elements I've encountered so far. What I am really enjoying is all the mood and atmosphere. Great use of colour too. Very nice. You get a real sense of being indoors, outdoors, and below ground. As well, overall there is more of an adventure game feel (which I like), though the game remains true to DROD. Big thumbs up!

It's the graphical inconsistency in general.

Let's compare what I assume is a vat obstacle, with the treasure chest.

They don't look like the same game.

Let's compare the rock to the arrow rotation symbol.

The rock and vat look like a different game from the treasure chest and rotation symbol.

You see where I'm going?

I must say that the double undo when using a placement potion (like a mimic) is pretty cool.

Everything :).

Just to put a funny fact, that when making my hold still in JTRH, I used to make a water with custom floor (GFX was water) and Character tar babies sitting on the borders around, facing north ^^. Nifty, eh?

I love the little mini-replay you get when you look at a demo on the F6 screen. And the presence of an "Upload" button there.

Edit: Oh and also, I love being able to click on a tile and find out what's on it ("tar, floor" vs "tar, trapdoor", for instance).

Oh, and Elfstone? I give up. If this Nellie you speak of is in the demo, I can't find her. Where is she? PM me if you don't want to say it in public.

Hint: Think of what things might be in the demo that aren't in the full version of the game.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the music. Omg, it's great. Best DROD for music ever. I really the music from Webfoot DROD and DROD:AE, tho' AE fitted more with the game. But anyone that played it way back them, the title screen music from Webfoot is extremely nostalgic. Making assumption that Erik did all them music, this is the best music since DROD:AE.

I'm gonna die on my feet tommorrow. It's 4am... :fun ...been playing too long...

And yes, it is really, really good stuff and lets me take the mood with me when I'm taking a break from playing (you know... during work and chores).

I've been very mean to the gobbies in Echo Chasms!

Mike has given a hint;

Think of what things might be in the demo that aren't in the full version of the game.

So people who went straight to the full version have missed out on that gem? Oh poor things! They'll never know!

Now I remember! Heh heh, he has a nice singing voice, doesn't he?

My personal response and my professional response to that are at war with each other!! :lol

Yeah, right after he said that I realized where it has to be. I missed it before because:
