I think that you should be able to unlimited undo while you are placing a mimic. There should be no problem because if you pick up a mimic you are not actually moving. I just think that people shouldn't be penalized for not having the correct sword alignment before they pick up a mimic potion.

Logistics
Movement on to the mimic potion
Undo goes back to the position you were in
before moving onto the mimic.
Placement of the mimic
Undo goes back to the beginning of
placement.
Movement after placing the mimic
