Of course, I also objected to the limitation for the help button, but that was because I thought there shouldn't be a limitation at all.

The moral of the story here: when designing a user interface, don't specify the details of the functionality. Had this simply said "there's a help button here", neither Dex nor I would have had reason to object.

Er, no. The point is that you can describe the functionality ("this button takes you to the help page for the room") without specifying the details ("...after 20 restarts or one hour, whichever comes first...").
