There were other things you could have posted in this thread Jatopian but I think that was the best.

What else should I do with my arbitrary gift of many mod points except exceptionally reward such a post as Jatopians?

OMG U R0XX0RZZZ!!!111one

er. ahem.

what I mean is, that was one of the more amusing flash posts I've seen in some time.

I just read this thread with great interested and think that Erik is right. I left the forum 5 months ago and rejoined few days ago. Now I can't really see a difference in the forum. Everything about the forum is the same as it was when I left. (Still we have a niveau here higher than in other Forums, I was glad to see familiar names like "Rabscuttle" or "GamerExtreme",etc.) The only thing different is that the growth-rate of the community and the number of posts per day is slightly lower. (There is a old statistic-thread from me somewhere... if you compare the numbers to the nower situation you'll see a small difference)

So I personally don't fear that the forum's niveau will crumble... and when the big day of TCB is coming everything will be the same as it was a year ago.

I never saw a flood, either. I saw about one or two spammy looking posts, followed by about twice as many posts about the flood and how bad the spam was getting.
If your forum has 1 or 2 spam posts a month, you're doing _great_. So keep it up :)

Shhh, keep your voice down a bit - you'll wake the spammers... :lol

Nah - I think Schik got the better of what spammers were trickling in, but I can remember exactly two spam posts that I've seen, one of which spawned a longer (interesting) thread in it's own right...

(Watching "A SpammerScanner Darkly" just now was a lot trippier, though... :))

Have I missed anything? I turned down a chance to see it a couple of weeks ago as I didn't really fancy the rotoscoping.

np: Broselmaschine - [Broselmaschine - 1971] #05/06 - Schmetterling (09:35)

I read the book last year. It is a sad, sad, tale. I saw some brief parts from the movie throughout and it seems a faithful conversion, but don't take my word for it.

Well, I plan on getting the book now that I saw it, but I really liked the movie - okay, being an anime fan might help with liking the rotoscoping.... ;)

Still, it's a sad tale that actually has quite a few funny scenes throughout; mostly due to the amount of drugs the characters in the movie are on most of the time - until the ending (subtle as it is) hits...

(Fun fact: during the ending credits "Black Swan" from Thom Yorke (Radiohead's frontman) is being played - the day before I watched the first volume of "Ergo Proxy", which had Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" during the credits; and yes, that was purely coincidental... :))

np: Phillipe Cam - Karine (Kompakt Total 2)
