Is it possible to send PM's to multiple users at once?

If it is can something be added to the Forum FAQ describing how to?

If not, can this be considered a request to upgrade the PM system to allow PMing multiple users?

Same as people spamming the boards I suppose. Block accounts of spammers.

True, but no one knows that the message that they received has been sent to multiple people, thus if phrased in a certain way, no one would notice.

That would depend on how the system works. If it is set up, then it should be just as easy to show a list of everyone who recieved the message.

There is very little spam here anyway, so I don't think an improvement to the PM system will encourage any more.

A dedicated spammer would already be PMing us without this feature anyway.

I'm not so concerned about Professional spammers, but rather people who go 'Cool, I can tell everyone to join my competition' and then the go and copy paste the active user list into the 'to' field.

Using a different delimiter (; instead of ,) would discourage that. At least a straight copy paste wouldn't work.

An option to block PM's from specific users would be better.

Either that or the usual IPB setting, which is to allow multiple recepients for PMs up to a limit, like 5 or 10 - you can PM the people who signed up to beta test your hold all at once, say, but you can't flood everyone to try and sell them knockoff viagra.

How about a 'buddy' icon?

Users can add themselves to a persons buddy list, and they can then PM all their buddies at once.
