Okay, there still seems to be a few problems with this. All this happened while I was upgrading from build 33 to build 34.

One: I tried exporting my player from build 33. However, I didn't have any .player files in my Homemade directory at this time. The result was that every time I clicked OK, DROD thought I was selecting another directory. Worked around by creating an empty Martin.player file in the Homemade directory, then overwriting it.

Two: When I reimported all my data into build 34, I had to import all my downloaded holds first, since I'd otherwise lose my progress in them. But since I have to select a player, I had to create a new player for no other reason than to get access to the hold import menu.

Three: Every time I try to delete this redundant player, DROD crashes.

This was a simple oversight and is fixed for build 35.

Not sure what to do about this. Once we get a stable release, this shouldn't be an issue since there won't be a set of builds to export/import hop across any more.

Yikes! I can't reproduce this though. Can you reproduce this bug with a fresh install and tell me exactly how you do it?

I have an idea for this, actually. Allow for importing of holds before selecting a player on the first run. That shouldn't be too much work, just place a submenu on the player select screen.

Alternatively, allow players to reimport their .player files. (So I could just import my player, then import holds, then reimport my player to get the missing data.)

One thing that may or may not be related is that the player selection screen pops up every time I start DROD, and if I click Cancel, it is always the redundant player that is selected. I don't seem to remember this being standard behavior, but that may just be me.

Another thing: I didn't actually play with this player for a while, so in the player selection screen, there was no location listed for this player.

I'm afraid that I don't remember exactly what I did, so I can't help you too much. Sorry.

Even better: on the first run, allow for importing all .hold files on the Homemade directory.
But this will be of little help on the final release. It just makes life easier to us testers ;)

Okay, this just got even weirder. Now I just found out that I can't even export my players. Rather annoying, since it means that I can't upgrade to build 35.

Mike, could I get you to take a look at my .dat files to see if something's out of place there? All three are in the attached .zip file. I suspect that creating a player and not using it for a while might have messed up something.

Edit: On a second thought, never mind. I'll just start over with a fresh install when the beta's done. I'll leave the files up in case anyone want to look at them.
