Step 1: Spend hours producing quality rooms and hopping about without going back to that screen where you can add levels and the like. Y'know, just on one level, so you can just click around and add rooms.

Step 2: Close DROD via the X button.

Step 3: Lose all your work, with no warning.

I don't like step 3. Change? D:

This sounds horrible... but I can't reproduce it. I tried creating a new hold, adding a few rooms with random stuff in them, then exiting via the X. Started it back up, the rooms were intact. Then I added a few more rooms, exited via X, and re-started. Everything saved fine. Then I just edited a few rooms without creating any rooms, exited via X, and re-started.... everything had been saved.

Can anybody else reproduce this?

Well, there's the bottom right of the Change Settings menu...

A question box asking for certainty to leave without saving would be nice though.

Haven't tried it, but maybe it's platform specific? I seem to remember that Banjooie isn't using windows... (although I might be wrong like on many other occasions I said I remember things... :D)

np: Tied & Tickled Trio - Hypno These (Tied & Tickled Trio)

Well the opposite happened to me

1. Made lots of quality rooms.
2. Instead of deleting a room I delete my 200 room level "Deadly Basement of Death."
3. Close via X.
4. Open and the level is back.

I've actually done this twice.

Now that's what I call a dedicated test! lol
Maybe DROD just knew you didn't *actually* want to delete 200 rooms ;)

Just how exactly did you find that your hold was not saved? perhaps you could search though your holds and see if it is there?

Something like this has happened to me

Only insert:
2.5: swear and panic
And replace
3. Turn off computer

I had previous stuff there. Maybe it was just a one-time glitch? I can't seem to reproduce it either.
