OK, so I tried to make myself a transparent tar PNG file. It doesn't seem to be working properly, though.



As my image shows, both in tar and in mud, I'm having problems with four of the tiles out of the fifteen in each not being transparent as they're supposed to be. What am I doing wrong here?

This has happened before. Here's eytanz's answer from the earlier transparency topic.

I really like that version. Which one is it? or is it your own version, in which case I'd like a copy.

The tar? It's my own version... Works *really* well, but I think it might be frowned upon for me to distribute it, as I *think* I wasn't technically supposed to do what I did to make it. The transparency pattern's something I made on my own, but I got the initial tar tiles that I applied it to by playing with screenshots from JtRH, so they're based on the original tarblob/mudblob art, which means it might not be OK to distribute.

If someone who can tell me for sure if it's actually OK says I'm free to distribute the png file with that tar in it, though, then I'll go ahead and put it up.

Unfortunately, you're right about not being allowed to distribute transparent tar done that way.

OK... So I just applied my transparency mask to a slightly modified version of the tar/mud from the GeneralTiles.png file running around in the forums. Since this is the same tar/mud that's used in all the other publicly available tar/mud mods, I'm going to assume this *is* free to distribute.

So there you go, coppro ^^
