I'm giving up on this game. The last hint was googlable given the names in there. Easier is to google "Drinavia" for the real name of the game.

I tried Google, but there were too many real people called John Sullivan (including a general in the War of Independence and the creator of Only Fools and Horses) and "The Group" isn't much to go on. Ah well...

And I know almost nothing about fighting games, but... is that Mr. T in the bottom right hand corner?!

I don't believe so. But you should at least recognize one or two famous people in that picture. And if not, using Wikipedia for this one would work.

Does it help if I just say that it's a Street Fighter (check the file name!) game? I only want the full name of it.

I must say I was confused as well.

The film is called "Street Fighter", and the game is called "Street Fighter: The Movie".

The reason for mentioning this game is that I found this site with photos of the real actors. (link)

Laser Squad is one of the predecessors of X-Com. According to Wikipedia, only the Spectrum version has been put into public domain.

Laser Squad: Nemesis, their project after X-Com (an e-mail based multiplayer strategy game), is still being sold.

If a screenshot depiciting a sinister, crawling, talking pizza monster (with black olives, nonetheless) is not from an obscure game, then I must really be out of the loop (says the nearly forty-year-old Lamkin), although I must confess that I do have night terrors with a theme remarkably similar to this.

Based on the pc and the backgrounds, I'd guess it's that remake of QFG2. I don't remember pizza elementals being in the original (I'm guessing it's a retcon from QFG4 )
