The file's actually a GIF, not a PNG. If your viewer can't work that out, renaming it should work.

What they mean is to please call your gif files .GIF, and not .PNG.

It's also the right size for a Genesis or SNES game. Plus, the first screenshot had a palette of exactly 64 colors.

That purple flower next to the hut in #2 really looks like the flower enemies from the Mana series, but that seashell sprite seems to be from Zelda.

It's not tall enough to be a SNES or Genesis game without chopping off a status bar, but it is tall enough to be a GBA game, is what I'm saying. I suspect it's more likely that it's a GBA game because it seems unlikely to have a bar of that size, and GBA games do tend to use brighter colours than SNES/Genesis games, due to how dark the screen was.

Not saying that it's not a SNES/Genesis game, but that it seems more likely that it's a GBA game.

At this point, I'd rather have a good text hint, since we're having a discussion already about possible game systems. But if you want to do a screenshot, go right ahead.

Mattcrampy, the reason I had mentioned Genesis as being a possible platform is because it was the first of the major systems to support a large palette of colors, with up to 64 colors showing at a time. Also, one of the resolutions of a Genesis is 256x192 (with these screenshots being 256x170)

Hmm... the only quest I can find with that shape of the Magic meter is the Lost Isle quest for Zelda Classic. With how clunky Zelda Classic is for loading up third-party quests, there's no way I'm going to try to download ALL of DarkFlameWolf's quests to check every single one.
