Ezlo, the reason why a Katamari in game screenshot cannot appear in a Nintendo game, is that all Japanese publishers are very respectful in regards of copyright other people's creation. They cannot and will not blatantly borrow other people's work without a large amount of contractual agreements. So, if you find a picture like this in a game, it is usually from the same publisher/developer.

It's a very strange little game that I would catergorise as an underdog; everyone I've shown this game to loved it. And that's about 20 people, some of which have never played a game before. So it's a shame it wasn't released in Europe. (It was released in the US though, so I still can ask for the English name of the game.)

And no, it isn't Katamari Damacy. But it is from the same publisher. (hint)

I'd say there's at least 7 people there from the DROD forums, but some haven't posted here in a long time or aren't at the top of the listing. And hmmm...I'm down to 15th place now. I was in the top 5 for a short time at least...maybe even 2nd or 3rd, I can't recall anymore. Oh well.

The game is:
Shin Bokura no Taiyou: Gyakushuu no Sabata
aka- Shintai
aka- Boktai 3: Sabata's Counterattack

The game was only released in Japanese, but there is a translation patch that is almost finished. I've also written several FAQs for this game.
Screenshot #1 shows Megaman at the start of a bike race.
Screenshot #2 shows the Immortal, Hresvelgr, while Django wields the Megabuster.
Screenshot #3 is from the beginning right before Trinity falls on and breaks Django's gravestone.
Screenshot #4 is the Purification start of the Count (Hakushaku).

I am giving Hikari a point for identifying it as a Boktai game.
