Looks almost like SMAC, but I'm sure it's not, due to the nature of the planetary surface. It's not Ascendancy, unless I missed something in that, and I'dve thought MOO would have been guessed very quickly if it were that. *shrug*

Well, I think you should give people more than half an hour to see the latest screenshot before coming to that conclusion. But that said, you've got me wondering just how many points stumping everybody should be worth.

I'd say none, because a game where everyone's stumped is not really that much fun, and it just drives people to pick more and more obscure games that no-one has a chance of guessing.

It's also the reason why, when it's my go for these things, I tend to pick relatively well-known games (and movies), and attempt to find unusual shots from them.

It's "Space Horse"

You should have done a little searching on that M.U.L.E. clone tangent, silver. Space Horse was listed on the wikipedia page for M.U.L.E., and the first in-game screenshot is the one with the windmill (with some additional text).

Casebier has it. I figured it would be over quick once I posted a shot of actual gameplay (just like last time I did one). The text I edited out of the fourth screenshot was "Land Claim Phase 1 for Daniel," which I removed because googling for "Land Claim Phase" gives a reference to Space HoRSE as the very first hit.

And I see that someone already gave Casebier 2 points. Here's 2 more from me for winning, and 1 to silver for recognizing it as a M.U.L.E. clone.

I remember that intro... I think it was an RPG Maker or OHRRPGCE game of some sort. It had a really weird storyline, a combat system that increased stats depending on usage, and save crystals where you could do a variety of things. After I had saved at the first crystal I became bored, switched to some other game and never saw it again.

Yeah, I've played it before as well. I got to the first boss which was a giant helicopter on the side of a snow covered mountain or something. I kept dieing and got rid of the game soon afterwards.

No, no giant helicopters or snow-covered mountains in this game. At least, none that I've found so far.
BTW, I believe the Game Over screen is showing the sun exploding, but I'm not positive.

Nope.

You know, I really thought somebody would get it after I commented about Nillo being on the correct track. When somebody mentions a RPG with Save Crystals, only one game company comes to mind. Of course, that company didn't make this game, but it comes close.
