Not much to say about this one. A fairly easy puzzle game with not-too-bad quality. Doesn't last long to play through, I'd expect.

Sorry for the delay. That was indeed correct but guess you proved that Rez is such a strangely enjoyable game. WOuld have got it if I'd been around. Nice ss.

Rez was quite easy as I've bought it some months ago. I'm going to put a screenshot after I wake up.

True, it's not very difficult once you get in. I think I failed all of the 5 levels (also not very long game) about once on the first attempt, mainly at boss fights, but no longer after that.

Definitely something that's fun to try again every once in a while.

Actually it's ranked Mature by the ESRB, so technically it's a 17+ game, not an 18+ game (18+ would be Adult). The 7th Guest is ranked Teen, which makes it a 13+ game. So if we agree that the policy should be not picking any 17+ games, 7th Guest is in and Ecstatica is out. After all, there are 10 years old people on this forum.

Well The 7th Guest got a 15+ of some sort in the UK, and Ecstatica got M15+ here in Australia, so there's going to be jurisdictional issues if we go that way.

Personally I'd be more concerned about what's in the screenshots rather than the source material. Like when I posted Series 7 in the movie/TV thread -- R18+ film here, but I deliberately avoided all the killing scenes.

And let's not forget that we are on a site about a game where a guy with a Really Big Sword goes around and hacks up other things, both human(oid) and otherwise...

I don't think that because a screenshot of a mature game has been shown before is a valid reason to show more screenshots like that. By comparison, if I add a 18+ picture in my very first post right now, can I show a 18+ picture in the rest of the forum?

I can understand that there are instances where this is not clear, and I can completely understand that you don't think it's a big problem, but I personally do think this picture was a bit too much for this forum.

But I see that someone else has also guessed that it's Ecstatica, so can we just move on with a next screenshot?

You know, I still can't say I agree about not putting screenshots for mature-rated games if the screenshots themselves are clean. I've always understood the policy as being that we don't endorse or talk about illegal things, but age-restricted things are okay so long as one thinks of the children here. (One may suggest that they drink alcohol, for example.) If it's something that people want for this game, we can put it in the thread rules so it's clear.

While it isn't against forum rules to post non-risque screenshots, of course, causing those who aren't of age to go searching for a game that might lead them to sites that would get them in trouble might not be the best option. But hopefully the correct preventative measures are in place so yeah, it's kind of silly.

It had animated blood and gore (see the red lines on the priest, that's BLUUUUUD!) and nudity. Of course it's less impressive when the characters are made out of several dozen ovals, but nevertheless. Having a wolf feast on your recently deceased carcass looks realistic enough even in that resolution. Actually, all movement in that game is pretty realistic, that's one of its strong sides.

The screenshot is definitely an issue here. Perhaps you might want to take a good look at the priest in the picture.
