That be Rebelstar: Tactical Command. It came out a little after the DS was released and the PSP was beginning to hit its stride, so no one really cared about this great little stategy title.

Just because it's not called X-Com doesn't mean it should be selling that bad. Especially since it was made by the same people.

Which is a shame, as they are still one of my favourite indie developers.

I didn't. I was playing doom when i was 8. But yes, it is all consoles these days. There are some amazing PC games, but they usually are on console as well.

I didn't either. Sure I played FFVII to death back in the day (it has serious flaws, but is still one of the best games ever made, and despite the recent backlash against androgyny, Sephiroth is still the greatest villain ever), but I was usually playing Monkey Island 2, Civ2, UT'99/2k4, X-COM, C&C, Day of the Tentacle, Quake 3, Full Throttle, Civ 3, Fallout, Fallout 2 and Starcraft (all of which are still just as playable today as when they came out, with the possible exception of C&C).

I grew up with a BBC Micro and a black-and-white Mac. Sure, I always looked forward to visiting my cousins, who owned a SNES and a MegaDrive. But it was the games I played on the BBC and the Mac -- Repton, Lemmings, Spacestation Pheta, and the games I made myself with HyperCard -- that are still part of my life today, though I admit I prefer the PC remakes of the Repton series to the originals.

I remeber repton on the BBC comeputer. It was great. I could never escape from the angry octopus in one of the water levels though, or the 'fido' in the baby level.
