Okay, recently, I've seen some holds in which the end of the staircase is touching the edge of the room. The best I can do is have it one space away. If I drag more it just doesn't work. How do people do this?

Make a copy of the KDD level 1 exit room and modify? I don't know if there are other ways, but that should work...

I believe you can just copy/paste the part of the staircase you want... so add a staircase, copy all but the right edge, then paste it such that it's up against the right edge of the room.

The same way you copy anything else. Click, drag, hit Ctrl-C. Hit Ctrl-V, then click where you want to paste it.
