A few ideas:

- A tile that when stepped upon makes arrows shoot out of specified walls (think Raiders of the Lost Ark). Whether these arrows hit opposing walls/creatures instantaneously or moved a space each turn would drastically change how they\'re used.

- A tile that makes anything over it (tar, queens, etc.) reproduce twice as quickly.

- A tile that monsters can pass but Beethro can\'t.

- An orb that changes the directions of arrow tiles.

If any of these have been on yahoo groups, sorry...

I like the arrow/wall idea, as long as the arrows can kill monsters too. The instantaneous bit may be a bit much though. Maybe just fast. The reproduction would be...interesting in the case of the tar. Another suggestion spawned from your idea is a tile Beethro can go over but monsters can\'t. However, they would still be able to leap onto him, so you wouldn\'t be completely safe on the tile.

A polarized tile that only permits travel in four directions would be interesting; similar to the checkerboard room in level 18 or the arrow maze room in level 3.
