Okay, who will help me with this?

Turn victory demos on and play through one of the levels 20-25 from Dugan's Dungeon. Post here to "claim" a level so that the next person will grab a different level. When you are done, please export the demos to files and e-mail them to me.

I'm going to start with level 20. Levels 21 through 25 are open for takers.

It occurs to me that maybe nobody will respond, in which case I'll feel a little dumb. But that just means I will play through the five levels myself.

Off I go to play through level 20!

I've just completed level 24.


For Level 24 1S1E I get the same error as I was seeing for build 29.

Assertion error in line 134 of D:dataDROD CVSRootCaravelDRODLibGoblin.cpp

Whenever I go to that room and try to export a demo, or when viewing that room via the restore screen. Brain controlled goblins?

I'll take 23 next. I would do 25, except for 2S which always bugs the hell out of me. I'll do 25 after 23, up to that room.

OK, I've done 23, and emailed Erik the demo sets, but my build 31 install has now gone kablooey, so no more demos from me for the moment.

That should leave levels 22 and level 25 for anyone who wants to playtest.

Aah - one thing...

I've already got some victory demos for the rooms from the old 1.5 when I tested it (Remember?).

Do you want those, or shall I go make some new ones?

We've changed the monster behavior slightly in 1.6 (for serpents and brain movement, basically), so we need to replay the brain rooms in levels 20-25 to ensure that they're all still beatable with the new behavior.

Sorry, Erik - probably not. Those demos don't seem to import on a new install, for me. I'm reusing the same drod1_5.dat when reinstalling/upgrading though, to gain access to level 23-24, so it could be just my corrupt install. Something is definitely FUBAR here...

Dammit. I lost my playthrough if 1.6 when we made the transition from build 27, and now it seems I can't use my 1.5 data either. Guess I'll just have to play the entire game again from scratch :~) :P
