Yup, it's me again

It seems that the "in bracket percentage completion" stat on the "Change location" screen is tied to the DROD instance, and not the player.

VodkaAndCoke gets x% complete on holds she hasn't (or partially) played, but that I've completed. This could be down to the fact I'm the primary player. The reverse may also (or not) be true, but as of yet there is no hold she has completed which I haven't so we can't test that currently.

This is easy to test. Make a hold with one room and exit stairs. Have one player play this hold normally (not playtesting) and exit it. Now you should see 100% for this hold for that player that played it. You should see no progress or completion percent in this hold for the other player profile.

BTW, you guys have been reporting a lot of problems with scrambled player saved games, but I still haven't received your .dat files. But without looking at any .dat files, I'm guessing your game data are somehow scrambled from the original hold upgrading bug you encountered that got fixed last patch and that these type of bugs will continue popping up in your DROD installation. As you know, reporting all these bad things happening isn't helpful if it's limited to your one DROD installation. So honestly there's nothing I can do from my end to fix the issues you're reporting.

So...I'd recommend exporting your player profiles to disk, reinstalling DROD (back up the directory before uninstalling to be safe), reimporting all the holds you've played and your player files, and then reporting any new problems that arise. If this seems like too much work, at least export your players, delete them from the game and reimport them. This should help clean up the tangled references. Of course some saved games might be lost on export/import because of the tangledness. This shouldn't be a serious problem, though. So don't report if this happens...just on new stuff that happens with new play sessions after reinstalling and reimporting your players. This will probably be most effective to getting to the root of these issues.

No, you're right. It easy to test as it's happening.
What I meant was that there's no hold she has completed which I haven't completed so I can't test if player 2 sees x% completion based on play by player 2.

However, it is currently the case that she sees x% complete for holds she hasn't even played if I've completed them.

About the .dats... I've tried twice to send them. Maybe I got the wrong address tho I didn't get a bounce (bugs a T caravelnet.net I believe). Prob a NASA conspiracy.

I'm, sorry if I keep going about bugs. Guess I should just get round to getting the CVS version and debugging it myself, but hey... *Im* busy

And I don't think it's got anything to do with the DROD install as other people are seeing similar things... I think.

Esp because the hold involved is not one which was affected by the multi-account hold update bug which you fixed.
In fact since .13 no holds appear with the "Updated!" flag. Did any holds get updated since? Could explain the spider's pissedoffness at certain of my demos.

Well, it definitely is caravelgames.net, not caravelnet.net.

Okay, I'm looking at the .dats you sent me now. I haven't found anything wrong with them yet and nothing jumps out at me when I switch between your two play sessions as being incorrect. Now that I have your dats, I'll need specific, simple details of what looks out of place. To start with...

Regarding the above problem, which holds have you noticed this problem for? I haven't seen any that look wrong in your player profiles yet, but I admit I haven't looked through all of them.
