What, consciously? Or do they all have to be alive?

If the former, done. If the latter, someone else do it. I solved this room by killing all the brains, then concentrating on the serpants, but as I recall some of the serpants blocked one off and killed it.

All of the serpents need to be alive and healthy (Not about to die)until all the brains are dead.

I did that challenge then posted it on YouTube, Lime Lives Matter. I created pocket of space to trap the serpent and distract its direction of tracking me
