Hi,

I need 2-3 testers for my new hold. It's probably going to end up in a future SS, so it will only be tested privately. Please PM me if you are interested.

Some info - hold has 3 levels, about 40 rooms, and aimed at a "low-mid" difficulty level. Someone who solved JtRH shouldn't have too much trouble going through it.

I would appreciate testing this, especially if it's supposed to be an SS hold. It will give me an idea as to how good Perfection is. :)

You won't be able to test it without CaravelNet, because it is meant to be an SS hold and as such will be using the private testing. For some reason I thought that you were going to be a subscriber but I guess you haven't done that yet.

Also, Perfection is very very difficult and Eytan already said that this hold is low-medium difficulty (which I can vouch for). So the comparison won't exactly be valid...

Yes, I'm sorry, I forgot that you need caravelnet to access beta holds on the forum, and as Onieromaner mentioned I'm limited by the fact that it will be SS.

As for comparison to Perfection, as Onieromancer also mentioned, this is a much easier hold. Also, you have to remember that Perfection (and other complete SS holds) have full speech and other perks, which, at this point, my hold doesn't (though it will get before it is published as SS).

*sigh* Nevermind - I don't exactly feel like spending twelve dollars just to beta test a hold... and use highscores... and play SS holds... Man, it's tempting, but I can't.

No, I think they got rid of that offer recently. And I still wouldn't get to play the SS holds.

No, you should still get a 1 month trial of CaravelNet with a purchase of JtRH. You won't be able to play SS holds or participate in beta testing (I think), but you can check out hold downloading and high scoring. Perhaps it is an issue with the Mac version? Erik would know...

You can do hold beta testing (as architect or tester) with a trial subscription. The only thing you cannot do right now is download published SS holds.
