Ed Pegg has written an excellent review of DROD for his column on MAA Online. VortexSurfer's Palace of Puzzles hold got special mention. If you are a math enthusiast, you probably already know about Ed's popular and frequently-updated mathpuzzle site.

Thanks a lot, Ed!

Nice. He even said it was the best puzzle game of all time, which is quite an achievement.

I see that the article on Wikipedia paid off :-)
It's one of links at the bottom of the article.

Wow, it was written/posted 2 days from now... I don't know if its Wolfram Research, MAA, or what, but someone's even better than they've been letting on...

MathForge has also
mentioned my column on the game. There, they point out
that I should have mentioned LodeRunner.

I actually found the Palace of Puzzles through my own
research, looking at all of the high-rated holds. When
I saw it, I knew I could write a column for maa.org,
since these 20 math puzzles are famous.

I just spent some time searching for Ed Pegg's (excellent) article: the MAA link is now broken, and they don't seem
to offer the article at all now - searching for Ed Pegg only yields articles for 2013.

However, it's available at mathpuzzle.com Mathpuzzle.com Copy

Also at the internet archive:
http://web.archive.org/web/20050717091745/http://www.maa.org/editorial/mathgames/mathgames_06_13_05.html

It's called

Math Games: Deadly Rooms of Death Ed Pegg Jr, June 16th 2005

and note, if you are searching, that DROD is not in the title.
