It's time for the unquestionable, questionable!

HOW HARD IS SUBTERRA?!?!?

Sure, Subterra levels comes with an Easy Mode and a Hard Mode. But still, some levels are brutal.

Plus, if you wish to get more points, you got to do levels in Hard mode. XD

Average, I solved almost all the levels. (Ray Tracing's nuts!) And over half of the levels I mastered. (And most of them are fun...some are just ominous.) My compliments to the level desingers.

Thanks! Oh, and if you're really feeling insane, try "Cell Block" in the 2003 contest set.

Or, for a quick joke, "Don't Try This At Home" in the same, since it's arguably impossible even if actually really easy.

It took me a while to figure out 'Dont Try This At Home'. I don't even understand the level.
Still, on my previous computer I got about halfway through all the levels, and was going pretty well. Now I've got a new computer, and I have to start again. But I'm still doing well.
Subterra is, on average, challenging but fun. Two essential things for all computergames.

Edit: I'll bet Radiant was the one who voted 'Too Easy'.

Difficult. Many of the hard levels are indeed just crazy, but overall I'm progressing along the game at a nice pace.

Also, why the timed poll, this question will be still be valid after 4 weeks.

Yep, that was me

DTTAH is really only understandable if you know how the internal data structure works. I suppose you could write terminally obscene levels that way (a bit like Laws of Physics, only more so). And no, that is not an invitation to do so.

MINI-MINI-REVIEW
Besides that obscure level, I thought it was a very challenging game, with balanced gameplay.
Most action-puzzle hybrids either downplay the action or puzzle element.
SubTerra is an exception. Radiant, this is a great game!!!
