Currently, when the player's defense if negated by mist, it simply writes zero in the defense slot until you step out. Something about hiding that information, even temporarily, doesn't sit well with me. So I suggest that instead, it keeps the displayed number at the same value, but colors it red, and puts a red X over the little shield icon.
